Spyro, the stage name of Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, has openly admitted to battling a pornography addiction for a significant period of time.
This revelation was made during a recent interview with Echoo Room.
In contrary to rumors that Spyro criticizes his peers for leading irresponsible lives, he clarified that his intention is not to spread religion within the secular music industry.
However, he highlighted that artists can still flourish by producing good music.
He said, “I struggled with pornography for years. I’m not a saint. I go through these things. I’m in here with you guys. I’m not saying that I’m holy. Everyone is far from holy.
“And I’m not coming to preach to people that you’ve to be holy. I’m human just like you. But I’m just saying that as much as we can.”
This confession from Spyro follows the controversy he stirred up by suggesting in a podcast interview that Shallipopi’s music motivates fraudsters.
