According to ESPN, Juventus could potentially end Paul Pogba’s contract if the Italian football authorities suspend him.
Given this situation, they have already halted his annual salary of €8 million.
Additionally, Juventus has informed Pogba that his contract, which lasts until June 2026, may be terminated if he receives a suspension.
Pogba has allegedly conceded to Juventus that he unknowingly consumed nutritional supplements containing testosterone, resulting in a positive drug test and the potential for a temporary ban of four years.
Pogba will argue that he took the supplement without knowing it contained testosterone.
He could also face criminal charges, with drug doping being a criminal offence in Italy.
The France midfielder is waiting for the result of his backup B sample, which should come before the end of the week, but it is expected to be positive.
Pending a trial and testing of a backup B sample, Pogba risks a suspension of up to four years.
