Social media users are reacting to a viral video showcasing lawyers sleeping during the presidential election petitions Tribunal.
On September 6th, 2023, the tribunal delivered its judgment at the Court of Appeal Complex in Abuja, surrounded by heavy security.
This judgment pertains to three cases contesting the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.
The panel of judges, led by Haruna Tsammani, had previously reserved their judgments after closing arguments were made in early August.
The video of sleeping lawyers during the tribunal has ignited online reactions, with many social media users expressing their belief that Nigeria is being ridiculed as a nation.
At the time of writing this, the tribunal has struck out a petition seeking the disqualification of Tinubu and Shettima.
