Mohbad Demise: Lagos Police finally set up special investigative team for exhumation, autopsy and others

Following increasing public concerns and a preliminary police review of the circumstances surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command, Idowu Owohunwa, has established a specialized investigative team.

This decision comes after the Nigerian police force indicated on their social media platform that a thorough investigation would be conducted into Mohbad’s passing.

The special investigative team, comprising a legal team and a forensic team, will conduct discreet investigations, which will involve activities such as exhumation, autopsy, analysis of the crime scene, scrutiny of hospital and medical reports, and examination of the records of suspects, among other tasks.

Following the death of one Ileri Oluwa Oladimeji AKA Mohbad. ‘M’ Aged 27yrs which occurred in the month of September 12th 2023, and in the overriding public interest the Command has setup a special investigative team to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim, identify witnesses, culprits if any and any person that will be helpful to the investigative process and deploy processes and other technological tools to aid the investigative course in line with the relevant provisions of the Nigeria.
