Mohbad's demise: MTV Base reportedly bans Marlian music

MTV Base, a popular British music channel, has reportedly decided to ban Marlian music following the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad.

Naira Marley, the owner of the record label Marlian Music, has been charged with involvement in Mohbad’s untimely passing.

This decision comes after some national radio stations also banned the music produced by Marlian Records in response to the controversial circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.

DadaBoy Ehiz, a staff member of MTV Base and well-known TV host, announced the ban on Marlian music, joining other music platforms that have taken similar action.

In a post shared on his X, Okoeguale wrote: “MTVbase dropped everything Marlian. Kudos to dem.”
