Adams Olabode Michael, also known as Super Smada, a Nigerian singer, is currently in hot water in the Nigerian Twitter Community, now known as X, following an encounter with X member @mimololuwamii, whose private video he posted without her permission.
The female user, who was once a fan of his, expressed her unhappiness with the artist after a rape allegation was made against him in January of this year. His music was described by her as “nursery rhymes.”
Smada, who didn’t like her description of his music, confronted her with screenshots from when she was a fan. She informed him that she no longer loved his music because of the rape charges.
Which was when he posted a semi unclad video of the lady, vibing to his song with the caption “song wey nearly make you strip”.
The lady immediately responded that she had not consented to him posting the video as she had sent it to him privately on Snapchat and what he was doing was wrong.
After receiving backlash from numerous Nigerians on the X platform, he deleted the post and responded with an apology.
Many Nigerians, however, have taken up the cause, with Kiki Mordi, an Emmy-nominated Investigative Reporter, contacting the Domestic & Sexual Violence Response Team in Lagos and labeling it revenge porn.
Smada also asserted his innocence in response to a tweet from the Lagos DSVA, the official account of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency, which compared the video to revenge porn.
