Oluwakemi, a final year student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has resorted to begging in public in order to pay her school fees, according to a report by the Nigerian Tribune.
She was spotted at a roundabout in the Ifako-Gbagada area of Lagos state.
The female student carried a placard with the inscription: “Please help a final year student with her school fees. God bless you.”
Oluwakemi explained that despite her best efforts, it has been difficult for her to come up with the N225,000 required since the university raised its fees.
She, however, refused an offer from some men who offered to pay her fees in exchange for sex.
Instead, she opted to beg publicly, hoping that kind-hearted Nigerians would sympathize and support her.
