On Tuesday, a delegation from the Lagos state government visited Mohbad’s mother to express their condolences.
Leading the delegation was the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr Obafemi Hamzat. Other members of the delegation included Mr Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to the Governor; Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Commissioner for Youth; Mr Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information; and Mr Idris Aregbe, the Special Adviser on Tourism.
During the visit, the Deputy Governor reassured the family that justice would be served and that a thorough investigation would be conducted by the Department of State Security in collaboration with the police.
Additionally, the Deputy Governor announced that the government would provide assistance to the family and ensure that Mohbad’s child is well taken care of.
