Renowned Nigerian musician, Davido, has issued an apology to his fans who anticipated his presence in Delta State for being unable to attend the Warri again show.

Davido was twined in a scandal after failing to appear at Amaju Pinnick’s Warri Again event.

Amaju Pinnick, a former president of the Nigerian Football Federation, claimed that the event’s organizers paid Davido a whooping sum of $98,000, added to another $18,000 for a private jet to convey him down to Delta State.

Pinnick claimed that after agreeing to the date and taking the cash, Davido still didn’t make an appearance.

In a series of tweets and pictures on his Instagram story, Davido responded to Pinnick, accusing the former NFF president of being a corrupt football official who failed to pay the salary and benefits due to Nigerian sportsmen.

Amaju Pinnick said that Davido wouldn’t be invited back to Delta state in his statements, but the Grammy-winning megastar responded by saying that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria.Screenshot 20231009 120025

Finally Davido has taken to his Instagram page to apologize, the ‘Fem’ crooner expressed his regret and disappointment in not being able to make it to the concert and promised to bring an even bigger performance to the state.Screenshot 20231009 120100

Davido stated that despite having informed the Warri Again organizers of his inability to attend the event owing to a conflict with his New Zealand concert, they had continued to use his name in promotional materials for the event.

Davido expressed regret to his Warri fans and promised to visit Delta State with his “Timeless Xperience Concert” shortly.Screenshot 20231009 120150Screenshot 20231009 120210
