Kenyan authorities have apprehended Brian Mwenda, a man accused of operating as a fraudulent lawyer.
Shockingly, Mwenda achieved a stunning 26 victories in multiple Kenyan courts before his illegal activities were exposed.
The Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch swiftly initiated an inquiry into this matter after receiving numerous public complaints.
Mwenda’s audacity was evident as he represented clients before respected High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges, successfully deceiving them in all 26 cases.
The diverse range of legal issues he handled raises serious concerns about the efficacy of the Kenyan legal system.
Confirming his lack of qualifications, the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch emphasized that Mwenda is neither a licensed advocate nor authorized to practice law in Kenya.
This troubling revelation has sparked inquiries into how Mwenda was able to operate under the guise of an authorized lawyer for an extended period.
The Statement released by the LSK Nairobi Branch read In part;
“It has been brought to the attention of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT) that the man has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch.”
