Mega superstar from Africa’s most populated country, Davido, breaks calm trailing the allegations laid against him by NFF chairman, Amaju Pinnick.
In the early hours of 7th October 2023, appeared the news of Davido accused of not attending a paid event hosted by the Chairman of the footballing body.
Amaju, who is a former President of the NFF and member of the Organising Committee for FIFA, expresses his disappointment at the superstar’s absence from the event, which took place on October 6th.
According to Amaju, Davido was well- compensated for the performance and a chartered plane had been arranged to transport him and his team to the venue.
The payment was reportedly made on April 6th, 2023. However, the singer did not show up and was replaced by Shallipopi, known for the hit song “Evien.”
Hours later, Davido picked up his phone to throw subtle jabs at them.
Without sharing in details, he tweeted, “Throwing stones but u Dey live for glass house”
Minutes after that, he tweeted a picture of the NFF logo with a caption in pidgin language airing that he won’t say much.
“Make i no talk”, he posted.
