Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late talented singer Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, is overcome with emotion as he turns to God for solace amidst the controversy surrounding his son’s death.
Amidst the conflicting public opinions regarding the singer’s demise and Mr. Aloba’s own views on his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, he finds himself expressing his deepest feelings through a heartfelt song.
In this song, Mohbad’s father shares his belief that the world is conspiring against him and using his son as a means to inflict pain upon him.
With great sorrow, Mohbad’s father laments that even in his son’s life, others had caused him harm, and now, in his passing, they continue to exploit his memory.
He pleads with his Creator for support, highlighting his own vulnerability and powerlessness as a human being.
“What you gave me in Your mercy, they are using it to fight me. The world is making me cry through the child you gave me. They hurt Imole when he was alive and still want to eat his dead body. Please Help me. I am just a human and powerless,” he sang in the Yoruba language.
