Bright Okpocha, widely recognized as Basketmouth, a veteran comedian, has revealed his intention to retire from comedy within the next five years.
He aims to establish his own empire and explore all facets of the entertainment industry after he turns 50.
In an interview on Arise TV, the 45-year-old comedian shared his plan to conclude his comedy career with a series of yearly shows for the next five years.
Despite abandoning a music career in the 1990s to pursue comedy, Basketmouth has always had the intention of eventually returning to the music industry.
“In five years, I will be 50 years old. I would have moved on to something else that would take up a lot of my time. I wish to put my all into it.
“I am confident that I will be able to combine all of my interests and completely enjoy films, TV shows, and concerts. Doing all of these things and still giving comedy your best will be difficult,” he said.
