Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has expressed his concern regarding his team’s excessive number of goals conceded this season.
The team has experienced a streak of three consecutive games where they have leaked four goals each, culminating in a 4-1 loss against Newcastle on Saturday.
As a consequence, Chelsea currently finds themselves in 10th place on the league table, having secured only four victories out of 13 matches so far.
Pochettino’s squad has already allowed a total of 20 goals in the league this season.
He said:
“No one is talking after Manchester City after we conceded four, like Manchester City.
“The amount we concede is because we need to be more focused and concentrated. Today we concede so easily the goals. That’s why we are disappointed with that.
“It’s a thing that we always talk about and try to be solid in our defensive line. It’s not only about the defensive line. It’s about our performance as a group, like a team.”
