In an interview on The Bianca Show, South African singer Tyla compared Afrobeats artist Wizkid to renowned musicians such as Drake, Rihanna, and the late Michael Jackson in terms of musical stature.
When asked to name her top five musicians of all time, Tyla mentioned Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Drake, Rihanna, and Wizkid as her choices.
Tyla specifically highlighted Wizkid’s influential presence and longstanding success within the African music industry, explaining why he deserved a place on her list.
Tyla said, “My top five musical artists of all-time, obviously, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Drake… It is always difficult to find the last one.”
“There are so many but I will say Wizkid. He has been around so long and has done so much for the culture and the genre[African music], so I definitely put him there.”
