JUST IN: NLC And TUC Shutdown Abuja Airport, Passengers Stranded, Flights Cancelled

According to reports, The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) & Trade Union Congress (TUC) have shut down Abuja Airport.

This comes following their declaration of an indefinite strike set to commence on the 14th of November, 2023.

Reports reaching the Newsmen say passengers are stranded while flights are cancelled amidst vehicular traffic.

The protest is part of a series of actions that the two labour unions say they will zero in on Imo state following the recent attack on the NLC President Joe Ajaero, Channels Television noted.

The demonstrators’ action caused heavy traffic of vehicles, thereby forcing travellers to make their way into the airport on foot.

Meanwhile, passengers are seen discussing the situation as some blame the Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodimma for the action of labour following the attack on Ajero.
