President Bola Tinubu has officially approved and signed the N2.17 trillion 2023 Supplementary Budget into law.
The signing ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with notable personalities in attendance, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.
Other witnesses present at the event were Senate Leader Sen Opeyemi Bamidele, Chairman Senate Committee on Finance Sen Olamilakan Adeola, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, and Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service Zachs Adedeji.
The purpose of the Supplementary Budget is to supplement the expenditures in the 2023 budget that was signed by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
