In Maitama, Abuja, a federal capital territory high court granted bail to Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The presiding judge, Olukayode Adeniyi, responded to the bail application filed by the former governor of the CBN by issuing an order instructing the federal government to release Emefiele to his counsel.
The court also gave the lawyers instructions to ensure that Emefiele’s foreign passport is filed with the court and that, if needed, he is hauled in for an arraignment.
