Netizens came down hard on the actress for what they perceived as disrespect toward her spouse, claimed she went overboard in her excitement to welcome the singer.
The wedding’s officiating MC, Deacon Famous, in a viral video, defended her firmly, asserting that there was nothing wrong about her actions.
He stressed that her hug with Moses Bliss was a product of her excitement, and her act of kneeling was a way to connect with the singer’s spiritual blessings and to partake in heartfelt worship and prayer to God in the spirit.
Ekene’s husband, Alex Kleanson, in response to the flood of criticisms directed at his wife, made his voice heard in the comment section of MC Deacon Famous.
He expressed his gratitude to the MC for standing up for his wife and made it clear that, as her husband, he sees nothing wrong with Ekene’s actions, and he’s not complaining.
