I wanted to join Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia – Messi

Lionel Messi of Inter Miami has acknowledged that he thought about moving to Saudi Arabia.

The 36-year-old would have joined Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League if he had made the move.

However, Messi ultimately made the decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain and sign as a free agent with the Major League Soccer team in the summer.

Messi has now disclosed that he was given the choice to join a Saudi Arabian team or go back to Barcelona.
