Mohbad: Late singer’s wife finally breaks silence on reports of attempting suicide

“I don’t want any side distraction” Mohbad’s wife, Omawunmi breaks silence, speaks on conducting DNA

Wunmi, the widow of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has strongly denied any thoughts of suicide.

In an exclusive interview with SaharaReporters, she opened up about the constant cyberbullying and threats she and her eight-month-old son, Liam, have endured.

These have not only affected her mental health but also had a detrimental impact on her physical well-being, resulting in depression and sickness.

Speculations were circulating about Wunmi attempting suicide in response to the relentless cyberbullying and threats she and her son faced.

However, during her conversation with the media outlet, Wunmi firmly refuted these claims, stating that she had never tried to take her own life.

She expressed how the continuous cyberbullying from internet users and the threats had pushed her into a state of sadness, leading to depression and causing her health to deteriorate for several days.

Wunmi said,

“No, I never attempted to commit suicide. What actually happened was that because of the cyberbullying from all over social media and the constant calls I received from those who have continued to vow that they must kill me or my son, I became depressed and fell sick for some days.

“They are all over everywhere, and they always call me and guess my location right, and it is really getting to me, so I became depressed, but I never attempted to commit suicide.”

This is coming days after Mohbad’s wife  opened up on why she rained insults on her father-in-law, Mr. Joseph Aloba, in a leaked phone conversation.
