Ronaldo finishes 2023 as world’s top goalscorer

Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Record In Al Nassr’s 5-1 Win Today

Al Nassr striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to end 2023 as the highest goal scorer globally.

In his latest game against Al Taawoun, Ronaldo netted his 54th goal of the year resulting in a 4-1 victory for his team in the Saudi Pro League.

Remarkably, Ronaldo achieved this impressive tally in just 59 matches for both his club and country.

Notably, his goal count surpasses the likes of Harry Kane from Bayern Munich, Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain, and Erling Haaland from Manchester City, who have scored 52 and 50 goals respectively.

Furthermore, it is important to note that these leading contenders will not have any more opportunities to increase their goal tallies in 2023.

This year will mark the fifth time that Ronaldo has finished as the top scorer globally, having previously achieved the same feat in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015 while playing for Real Madrid.

As a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Ronaldo’s prowess in front of the goal is truly exceptional.

“54 – I’ll say when it’s finished! Thanks, team,” Ronaldo posted on social media after the game.
