Nigerian actor and critic, Uche Maduagwu, recently had a remarkable encounter with movie star Kanayo O. Kanayo.
Uche paid a visit to Kanayo’s office to sincerely apologize after publicly criticizing him for his comment about the illness of comedian John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu.
In a widely shared video on social media, Uche Maduagwu is seen respectfully kneeling down upon entering Kanayo’s office, expressing his remorse and offering a heartfelt apology.
Kanayo responded by laying hands on him and offering a prayer, encouraging Uche to utilize his social media platform for more positive purposes and asking for God’s blessings upon him.
Uche Maduagwu, overwhelmed with gratitude, revealed that Kanayo, the veteran actor, gifted him with N2million as a parting gesture. He praised Kanayo as the most generous person in the Nollywood industry.
“This is divine FAVOUR, my Daddy @kanayo.o.kanayo has Finally FORGIVEN me for criticizing him and gave me Two Million Naira for Christmas, OMG, this is too much, I’ve been Crying all day, tears of JOY, he PRAYED for me and then surprisingly gave me 2 Million Naira.
“Sir, you are the most Generous in Nollywood, you are my destiny helper, Abeg, make you Na help me Thank this Great Legend”, he wrote.

Earlier, Uche had criticized Kanayo O. Kanayo on his Instagram page, sparking controversy. The disagreement began when a video of Mr Ibu pleading for help from his hospital bed emerged.
