A fire has been reported at the renowned 10-story Mandilas building on Broad Street in Lagos Island Local Government Area, Lagos State.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service announced the fire outbreak via a post on their official X (previously Twitter) account on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
According to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the fire started on the first floor of the Mandilas building and had spread to the fourth story as of the time of the report.
Emergency responders from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations are on the scene to prevent further escalation and bring the situation under control.
Although the source and cause of the fire is yet to be made public, fire fighters are reported to be battling to put it off.
