Madonna has issued an apology for mistakenly addressing the wrong city during her recent performance.
While on stage in Toronto as part of her Celebration Tour, the Queen of Pop mistakenly greeted the audience as if she was in Boston instead of the actual Canadian city.
“Are you ready, Boston?” Madonna asked the crowd before quickly realising her mistake and apologising to her fans.
“Are you guys mad at me ’cause I said ‘Hello, Boston?’ I’m sorry. What kind of f**ked up s**t is that?” the 65-year-old said, according to a clip posted by a concertgoer on TikTok.
“That would be like if you guys were saying, ‘Hey, Lady Gaga’s playing tonight!'” the Material Girl hitmaker continued.
“I wouldn’t like that. I mean, you know, nothing against Lady Gaga. Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me.”
The legendary singer commenced her 98-date tour on 14 October to commemorate the 40th anniversary of her music career.
Following the Toronto show, Madonna is now scheduled to perform in Detroit tonight, followed by performances in Montreal on Thursday and Saturday.
The tour will conclude on 26 April in Mexico City.
