Nigerian film actress, Laide Bakare, recently discussed her aversion to kissing and romantic scenes in movies during an interview with Punch.
Bakare admitted that such roles pose a challenge for her.
She said;
“Portraying romantic roles, especially scenes involving kissing and touching, pose unique challenges for me. Navigating the authenticity required for such moments while maintaining professionalism can be intricate. Balancing the demands of the script with personal comfort adds complexity to these roles, requiring a nuanced approach to ensure a convincing, yet respectful performance.”
Laide Bakare also noted that people were often more focused on her job as an actress, rather than her personality.
She added:
“As an actress and filmmaker, my primary challenge has to do with navigating relationships and finding true love. Sometimes, people are attracted to my status and my profession, rather than the essence of who I am. Distinguishing genuine connections from those based on fame then becomes a delicate task.”
The mother of three in a recent interview said she will cheat back on her partner if he is unfaithful to her.
In response to Laide Bakare’s comments, Portable, in a live video, criticized her for advocating retaliation in marriage if a partner cheats.
He also gave a stern warning for her to stay away from his fourth baby mama, Ashabi, expressing concerns about her potential negative influence.
Portable cautioned against individuals like Bakare, accusing her of promoting destructive behavior that could harm marital relationships.
He specifically urged her not to negatively influence Ashabi through their interactions.
