Joeboy, the Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, who is commonly known as Joeboy, has officially ended his partnership with Empawa Music, owned by Mr Eazi.
In an exciting turn of events, the artist has entered into a double deal with the globally recognized music powerhouse, Warner Music.
This agreement not only entails Joeboy establishing his own record label, called Young Legend, but also designates him as the newest flagship artist for Warner Music.
Sharing a ritual-themed clip announcing the launch of his record label via X, Joeboy wrote: “Dawn of a new era. Young Legend is alive.”
Joeboy first joined Empawa Music five years ago and gained significant recognition with the release of his chart-topping single, ‘Baby.’
Although he was nominated for the prestigious Next Rated category at the 2019 Headies Awards, ultimately Rema claimed the award.
