Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has confidently stated that if he knocks Anthony Joshua down in their upcoming fight,
Joshua will not be getting back up, just like he did to Tyson Fury. Ngannou is scheduled to face Joshua on Friday, March 8th, in what will be only his second professional boxing match.
Despite his limited experience, Ngannou came close to pulling off a major upset in the heavyweight division when he squared off against Fury last October.
In that fight, Ngannou stunned the world by dropping Fury in the third round, although he ultimately lost the bout in a split decision.
“Yeah, I have a doubt about that. Tyson showed that he’s very resilient. I saw him come back from knockdowns like you wouldn’t believe.
“So I think he’s probably one of the most resistant [sic] person out there, and that’s not a disrespect to AJ.
“I don’t believe that AJ would take what Tyson did,” Ngannou said on DAZN when asked if Joshua could take what he dished out to Fury.
