Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr forward, has been suspended for one game by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation after making an obscene gesture following their 3-2 victory over Al Shabab.
Ronaldo cupped his ear and made a hand gesture in front of his pelvic area towards Al Shabab fans, who were chanting Lionel Messi’s name.
In addition to the suspension, Ronaldo has been fined 10,000 Saudi riyals ($2,666), to be paid to the Saudi Football Federation, as well as 20,000 riyals to Al Shabab to cover complaint filing fees.
The committee’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.
