Nigerian actress, Simi Gold took to social media to refute the recent statements and rumors circulating about her supposed six-month imprisonment.
Taking to her Snapchat story, she wrote,
“Ignore whatever you see online. I am home and safe.”
Dismissing the news, she addressed the rumors on popular blog InstaBlog with a laughing emoji.
Furthermore, Simi Gold shared a photo of herself enjoying a meal of amala and Ewedu soup.
Earlier, It was reported that rumors were spreading about Simi Gold receiving a six-month prison sentence.
This sentence stems from an incident that occurred in February 2023 when Simi Gold sprayed bundles of 1,000 Naira notes on people, contrary to the directive given by the CBN governor.
She was subsequently charged on February 13th, 2023, but released two days later.
