Belle Silva, the wife of Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, has issued an apology for her comments that seemed to criticize Mauricio Pochettino.
After Chelsea’s 4-2 defeat by Wolves, their 10th loss in the Premier League this season, Belle took to social media to call for a replacement for manager Jose Mourinho.
Pochettino has confirmed that he spoke with Silva regarding her comment, and Belle has expressed regret for her remarks in a new social media post.
Chelsea’s recent losses against Liverpool and Wolves, particularly the home defeat to Wolves, have sparked calls for Pochettino to step down, including from Silva’s wife.
“I’m sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact,” she said.
