Thiago Silva bids an emotional farewell to Chelsea after four years of wearing the Blue shirt, expressing his hope to return in a different role in the future.
The veteran defender, who joined the West London side in August 2020, will be ending his Chelsea journey at the conclusion of the current season.
Despite the short duration of his tenure, Thiago Silva managed to achieve great success with Chelsea, winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup titles.
This marked a significant achievement for the 39-year-old, who had previously been unable to secure these accolades during his time with AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
He said:
“I’m going to leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
“I can only say thank you.
“Goodbyes are for those that leave and don’t come back. I intend on coming back one day,” Silva added.
