Borussia Dortmund secured a rare away victory over Bayern Munich, winning 2-0 at the Allianz Arena.

Dortmund wanted to win the game early on, with Karim Adeyemi capitalizing on a feed from Julian Brandt to put the visitors ahead in the tenth minute.

Bayern attempted to reply, including an opportunity for Harry Kane, but Dortmund’s Mats Hummels continued to make important clearances, including one that prevented Eric Dier.

Dortmund’s form continued in the second half, with Felix Nmecha coming close to increasing their advantage before being denied by Bayern goalkeeper Sven Ulreich.

Despite some technical changes by Thomas Tuchel, Dortmund remained strong in defence and dangerous on the counterattack.

As the game entered its final stages, Dortmund sealed their victory, as Sébastien Haller set up Julian Ryerson to slot home from the right.

Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich confirmed

Kane’s consolation goal was disallowed just minutes before full time, handing the visitors a clean sheet.

The victory marks Dortmund’s first away win against Bayern in nine attempts, strengthening their position in the race for a top-four finish in the Bundesliga.

With Bayer Leverkusen extending their lead at the top of the table by 14 points, Bayern’s hopes of retaining the Bundesliga title are now in doubt.
