Popular singer, Iyanya, recently admitted to endorsing Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson’s book ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ without realizing he was mentioned in it.
In the memoir, Nelson discussed her relationship with Iyanya and how she discovered his affair with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh in a chapter titled “Iyanya And My Love Life.”
In a recent interview on The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, Iyanya confessed that he had given his endorsement to the book without knowing its contents.
Despite vowing to address the cheating allegations made by his ex-girlfriend when the book was released last year, he stated that he is not yet ready to do so.
He added that he and Yvonne Nelson still have a good relationship and continue to stay in touch.
Iyanya said:
“I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.
I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”
