Femi Falana, a well-known human rights activist, has reportedly withdrawn from defending the family of late Nigerian artist Mohbad, citing family disagreements and contradicting comments.
A recording has surfaced in which a guy, whose name has not been revealed, claims that Falana’s chamber has been facing long-term issues due to the late Mohbad’s family’s actions.
The guy claimed that the family’s interactions with numerous media outlets had resulted in inconsistent remarks, impeding the process of obtaining justice for the deceased.
Furthermore, the recording mentions that the family of the late Mohbad, particularly the patriarch Aloba and his daughter-in-law Wunmi, have been embroiled in a bitter feud.
Allegations have been exchanged, with Aloba accusing Wunmi of attempting to harm him, while Wunmi retaliated by taking legal action against her father-in-law for defamation and issuing a pre-action notice.
The man in the recording also alleged that the court had deemed such family disputes as commonplace and urged Falana not to withdraw from the case, citing his esteemed reputation.
