EPL: It’ll be difficult for Man Utd to get Champions League spot – Bruno Fernandes laments

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, acknowledged the challenge of qualifying for the Champions League next season following a 3-1 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.

Despite Marcus Rashford scoring first with a long-range shot, goals from Phil Foden and a late strike from Erling Haaland led to victory for the hosts.

With United now trailing fourth-placed Aston Villa by 11 points, securing Champions League football for next season appears to be a daunting task.

Bruno Fernandes said:

“We want to try until the end of the season to get into that fourth place that gives you the possibility to get into the Champions League.

“We know it’s going to be hard but we have to do everything that is in our hands that we can do going into the next game at home.”
