Xavi, the Barcelona manager, has made it clear that he will be departing the club at the conclusion of the current season, regardless of any potential Champions League success.
Despite Barcelona’s advancement to the quarter-finals with a 4-2 aggregate victory over Napoli, Xavi remains steadfast in his decision to leave Camp Nou.
When questioned about the possibility of a Champions League triumph altering his plans, Xavi reiterated his intentions to move on from the club.
“You keep on asking me if I will stay if we win the Champions League… no, I will not,” he told reporters.
“My future will not change. My response will not change.
“I will leave at the end of the season.
“I will enjoy the Champions League next season, yes, but as a fan.”
