The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the next Super Eagles head coach will have the freedom to select his own assistants.
Many local and international coaches have already applied for the role.
The chosen coach will be responsible for selecting two assistants and possibly a goalkeepers’ trainer.
This decision is aimed at avoiding any conflicts or differences in philosophy between the head coach and his support staff.
The NFF is set to announce the new head coach for the Super Eagles in the next month.
Finidi George, who previously assisted former head coach Jose Peseiro, is expected to lead the team in upcoming friendlies against Ghana and Mali.
