In a recent podcast episode of Secrets Behind the Scenes, singer Waje expressed her dislike for being called an “underrated artist.”
Despite fans on social media labeling her as such due to her talent and contributions to the music industry,
Waje made it clear that she does not want to be known as underrated.
She believes that being labeled as such is not a flattering compliment as some may assume.
She said, “I do not like being addressed as an underrated artist. Words have power. Some people might celebrate it [being called underrated] and make it like, ‘People see who I am and that’s why they said so.’
Your perception of success is between you and your mind.”
