Alex Iwobi finally returns to social media following AFCON backlash

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has returned to social media after a brief hiatus.

Following criticism of his performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations,  Alex Iwobi had deleted all his Instagram posts.

The 27-year-old faced cyberbullying from Nigerian fans after the Super Eagles’ 2-1 final defeat to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.

Despite the backlash,Alex Iwobi received support from his teammates, the Nigeria Football Federation, and the Sports Ministry. Now, he has shared a video on Instagram, giving fans a peek into his recent activities.

In the video, Iwobi also teased a snippet of his upcoming rap song.

His teammates, including William Troost-Ekong, Frank Onyeka, and Kenneth Omeruo, showed their support in the comment section.
