“There Was No Robbery” — Iwobi’s Father Dismisses Viral Burglar Report

Alex Iwobi

Alex Iwobi’s father, Chuka Iwobi, has denied reports claiming the Fulham midfielder was recently robbed.

The clarification was shared by former Super Eagles media officer Colin Udoh, who said he spoke directly with Iwobi’s father.

“I have just spoken to Chuka Iwobi, and he says there is absolutely no truth to reports that his son was burgled,” Udoh said.

Quoting him further, he added, “Alex is fine, and there was absolutely no attempt to burgle his house. He left for Turkey this morning in preparation for the friendlies.”

According to Chuka Iwobi, he had received several calls about the rumour and described it as completely false.

The response comes after online reports claimed the Fulham FC midfielder had been attacked at his home, with items such as watches, jewellery, phones, a laptop, and cash allegedly stolen. Some versions of the story even suggested the value of the items taken was as high as £500,000.

However, the player’s family has dismissed it all, insisting that no such incident occurred.

Iwobi has been active this season, making 25 league appearances, scoring four goals, and providing three assists. He has now travelled to Turkey to join up for the upcoming international matches.
