Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has disclosed that the Premier League club has officially banned behind-the-scenes (BTS) dressing room content on social media.
Iwobi made this known on Wednesday through a video posted on his official Snapchat account, explaining that the decision came after warnings from the club’s media team.
“For those that are wondering why I’ve been snapping BTS in the changing room, there’s one person in the media team that’s been saying I haven’t been capturing the right stuff. So there’s no more BTS,” Iwobi said.
The Nigerian international added that he was warned he could be fined if he continued sharing content from the dressing room.
“They also said I might get fined if I continue to do so. They’re trying to ban Snap in our changing room.”
Iwobi expressed disappointment over the move, noting that many fans enjoyed getting a glimpse of the team’s off-pitch dynamics.
“It’s a shame, man. I know you guys enjoy seeing what my teammates are like behind the scenes, but I have to respect the rules.”
The 26-year-old, who joined Fulham from Everton in 2023, is known for regularly interacting with fans via Snapchat, where he shares personal moments and behind-the-scenes clips with teammates.
With this new policy in place, fans may see less of Fulham’s locker room atmosphere, as the club looks to tighten its internal media controls.
