Aston Villa stunned Arsenal with two late goals, ending Arsenal’s title ambitions and allowing Manchester City to keep their lead.

Both teams had chances in the encounter, with Leandro Trossard saving Emiliano Martinez’s shot in the first half.

However, Aston Villa came closest to scoring, with Ollie Watkins and Youri Tielemans both hitting the post, leaving Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya powerless.

Aston Villa’s efforts paid off in the final stages of the game.

Leon Bailey capitalized on an opportunity to slot the ball into an empty net in the 84th minute, putting Aston Villa in the lead.

Two minutes later, Watkins sealed the win with a chip over Raya, securing all three points for the visitors.

With this unexpected result, Manchester City maintained its position at the top of the Premier League table, while Aston Villa kept its place in the Champions League.
