In an interview with African Folder magazine, celebrated Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, also known as Simi, discussed the ongoing comparisons between her and her husband, fellow musician Adekunle Gold in the music industry.
The talented singer-songwriter, who has made a name for herself with her unique music style, shared her thoughts on the comparisons, describing them as “somewhat shallow.”
Simi, known for her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, acknowledged that while she expected these comparisons, she believes they don’t fully capture the depth and individuality of their musical talents.
Despite being partners in both personal and professional spheres, the Duduke crooner emphasized the importance of appreciating the distinctiveness of their artistry.
“The comparisons between me and my husband, although expected, are somewhat shallow,” she said during the interview.
