Twitter personality, Daniel Regha, has expressed his opinion that the claim made by Afrobeat artist, Rema, about being on par with the “Big 3” is highly absurd.
This statement by Rema, who believes he is at the same level as the current top three renowned artists – Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, has ignited debates on social media platforms.
In response to Rema’s assertion, Daniel Regha characterized him as an emerging talent in the music realm, with only one successful track to his credit.
Despite his global popularity, this does not automatically qualify him as the premier artist in the industry.
As per the renowned critic, no newcomer has yet demonstrated exceptional performance to warrant inclusion among the top 10 artists.Even with their notable accomplishments, it will require several years for them to reach the caliber of the established music icons.
He wrote: “Rema is still an upcomer in the music game with just ¤ne hit song at the moment; He’s a global sensation, but that doesn’t put him in the top category. For the record, no newbie or upcomer has done enough to be in the “Top 10″ debate, despite their accomplishments it will take years for ’em to lace the icons’ boot. No shades.”
