Forbes has officially declared Taylor Swift as a billionaire.
At the age of 34, Swift has made history as the first musician to reach billionaire status solely through her music and performances.
Forbes announced on Tuesday that the music superstar has an estimated fortune of $1.1 billion (£875 million).
“In October 2023, Taylor Swift accomplished a feat no other musician had before: she became a billionaire strictly off of earnings from her music and performances,” Forbes wrote in an article published on Tuesday.
Her record-breaking Eras tour, which began in Arizona in March 2023 and will continue until December 8, has become the first tour to gross over $1 billion (£795 million) according to Pollstar’s year-end charts.
Forbes estimates that Taylor Swift has earned $500 million (£398 million) from her royalties and touring, and another $500 million from her music catalogue.
In addition, she is believed to have made around $125 million (£99 million) from real estate ventures.
