Wasteful Liverpool fail to go top following 2-2 draw with Man Utd

Manchester United and Liverpool drew 2-2, with Kobbie Mainoo’s stunning goal failing to secure a victory.

Bruno Fernandes’ amazing 40-yard strike was the match’s highlight.

Liverpool dominated the first half, firing 15 shots at the United goal while keeping their opponents at bay.

Luis Diaz put Liverpool ahead with a close-range shot.

However, the tide turned in United’s favour when Jarell Quansah’s errant pass fell to Bruno Fernandes, who unleashed a breathtaking 40-yard strike.

Without taking a touch, Fernandes unleashed a thunderous shot that left Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher rooted to the spot, leveling the score.

Fernandes’ sensational strike marked his 50th Premier League goal for Manchester United.

United capitalized on their pace, with Kobbie Mainoo scoring a brilliant goal to give them a 2-1 lead in the second half.

However, Liverpool fought back, earning a penalty that Mohamed Salah calmly converted to ensure both teams shared the points.
