Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, has accused the All Progressives Congress of attempting to dismantle the opposition by any means necessary.
He claimed that the APC is willing to buy off those who can be bought and intimidate those who cannot, in order to destabilize the opposition.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Dele Momodu placed the blame for all of the PDP’s challenges on the APC.
He specifically accused President Bola Tinubu of suppressing opposition, even though he himself was once a successful opposition leader before the APC took power from the PDP.
“APC will do everything possible to destroy opposition; buy those who are buyable, to terrorise those who are not buyable and make sure that the party is in disarray, that is all.
“You see, part of my admiration for then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos was the role he played as an opposition leader.
“Unfortunately, now we have a former opposition leader in government, and they don’t want opposition, it’s an irony,” he said.
