Toni Kroos has reaffirmed his satisfaction with his choice to depart Real Madrid.
Speaking at the Champions League trophy parade in Cibeles square, Madrid, on Sunday, the German midfielder celebrated alongside his teammates after their victory against Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley Stadium.
Toni Kroos had previously revealed his intention to retire from professional football following Euro 2024 later this summer.
“I am going to miss you [Real Madrid fans] a lot,” Kroos was quoted by Madrid Zone as saying.
“I am happy with my decision. I enjoyed every single minute of these 10 years.
“I will miss a lot of things, no doubt. I am happy with my decision. The Bernabeu is my home. Real Madrid fans are the best in the world.”
