Jose Mourinho, the ex-manager of Real Madrid, has stated that the club’s structure has contributed to making them the most successful team in Europe.
Speaking to TNT Sports at Wembley, Mourinho praised Madrid after their 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund secured their 15th European title.
He said: “Real Madrid’s structure is so simple.
“Florentino Perez, Jose Angel Sanchez, the chief scout and the coach. That’s it.
“It’s absolutely correct and why they win.”
Despite his own Champions League disappointments at the Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013, he did manage to win the prestigious trophy twice with FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.
